The Breakers is an iconic five-star resort, featuring over 140 acres of oceanfront property in the heart of Palm Beach and Renaissance-inspired architecture at every turn. The resort was founded by Henry Flagler, a renowned industrialist, and proudly remains under family ownership today. Every year, the hotel receives $30 million in investment to ensure its continued grandeur, balancing preservation and modernization. Visiting Palm Beach in October is serene, with the ocean waters warmed to 80 degrees, less rainfall, and fewer crowds.
Cancellation Policy:
As with all MKJ seminars, the seminar fee (minus $195) is fully refundable. The hotel cancellation fees are handled directly with the hotel upon reservation.
While MKJ has always secured beautiful places to hold conferences, our top priority is providing the best content. We choose speakers with advanced degrees and the best experience and accomplishments. Speakers are asked to prepare a college level program. The investment MKJ makes in research and slides is noted by many. Historically MKJ seminars have often been accredited in most states. However, in recent years, securing accreditation from every state has become expensive and complicated. Some states require as much as a $650 filing fee just to accredit one course. When an education provider seeks accreditation it most often must be secured months in advance before firms have registered which means the investment needs to be made in each state without knowing if anyone is attending from that state.
Since MKJ offers different courses and appeals to firms in many different states, the financial commitment associated with pursuing state accreditations for each of our courses has become prohibitive. Many MKJ attendees indicate they have enough credits and don’t find this to be something we should raise our rates to cover. If an attendee would like a certificate of completion and/or outlines to help the individual seek continuing education hours after attending the conference, MKJ will supply the certificate and the outlines upon request.
Please be aware though that accreditations for our courses vary by state and we do not guarantee the availability of continuing education credits in all states. If you are interested in receiving continuing education credits in connection with an MKJ course, please contact MKJ for information on the number of hours available and details specific to your state before attending.
Thank you for your understanding as we make changes to fit what works for today’s business owners in our profession.
